College Works Painting was founded in 1993 and operates in over 20 states, hiring more than 2,500 college students every year as interns. The College Works Painting Internship is designed to give students an opportunity to build a competitive resume and gain marketable leadership skills. EPA Lead Certified Renovator.
In April 2010, the EPA mandated that certain contractors—including painters—receive lead certification. CWP responded promptly, obtaining full EPA lead certification in every state where it operates. Additionally, CWP fully trains every manager on lead-safe practices for homes built before 1978.
